Spiritual Toolkit

I often get asked about the tools I use in my spiritual practice. So, I decided to give you a peek at the basic must-have items on my list. So, take a look at what I keep in my spiritual toolkit.

Incense and Resins

I use some form of incense pretty much daily. I offer the smell of frankincense and myrrh to my ancestors and the sweet smell of lavender to the moon. I also use cleansing blends like dragon’s blood, sage, and cedar to dispel negative energies.

My favorite brand of incense is Raajsee – I buy it almost exclusively. I love this brand because it is all-natural without harsh chemicals or dyes. This aspect is vital to me because I enjoy clean, natural living.

Organic Candles

Candles are likewise a mainstay in my spiritual arsenal. I use them almost daily, along with my incense. They also serve as offerings to my spirits. I always maintain a hearty stock of natural, non-toxic white candles in my home for my spiritual needs.

Organic, non-scented candles are a must-have for me. I love working with natural candles that use coconut, soy, or similar bases. I don’t have a specific brand that I am exclusive to. However, I tend to purchase the Hyoola brand quite frequently.

Spiritual Books

As an author, you can probably tell that I love to read. And as a spiritualist and spiritual coach, there is nothing I love to read about more than spirituality. So, I am constantly adding to my spiritual book library. I usually read a little from a spiritually-based book every morning.

I covered my top-recommended African spirituality books in this list. However, I regularly read spiritual books from many different genres and niches.

Writing Journals

I have dozens of journals lined up in my altar area. As an author, I obviously love to write. So I maintain journals to record my dreams, affirmations, and gratitude. I also jot notes about ideas, tips, and events in my day. So, I keep a journal near me at all times.

I love beautifully designed journals like the ones from Promptly Journals. They have an amazing collection of gratitude, self-love, and healing keepsake journals. And they have journals for special occasions and life events.

Crystals and Stones

These natural earth elements are essential to my spiritual toolkit. I keep crystals and stones on my altar, desk, and within my workspace at all times. My favorites are Tiger’s eye, citrine, carnelian, and rose quartz. But I appreciate the healing properties of any stone.

I love beautifully decorated jewelry and trees like the ones from Karma and Luck. They also have a unique selection of journals, home decor, and premier collectible items for women and men.
