Oluwo of the Atepa-Iwori Temple – Oyo State, Nigeria

Babaláwo Ifakunle Adisa serves as the Oluwo, or lead priest, of the Atepa-Iwori Temple in Oyo State, Nigeria. He established the temple as a center for authentic Yoruba Ifá practice, where he oversees divination, ritual work, and priestly training. His practice follows the traditional methods of opele and ikin divination techniques as taught by Yoruba elders. His mission is to uphold integrity and accessibility within the global Ifá community.

Lineage

Babaláwo Ifakunle Adisa practices within the Ìṣẹ̀ṣe (traditional Yoruba) lineage of Ifá. His priesthood is rooted in the ancestral teachings of the Yoruba people, preserved and passed down through oral tradition.

His work reflects the principles of Ìwà Pẹ̀lẹ́ (gentle character) and Ìtẹ̀lé Ọ̀rúnmìlà (devotion to Orunmila), grounded in the living tradition of Yorùbáland.

Training & Practice

As the Oluwo (lead priest) of the Atepa-Iwori Temple, Babaláwo Adisa received advanced training in Yoruba divination and ritual science under senior elders in Oyo. He mastered the use of the opele and ikin for consultation and is well-versed in the Odu Ifá corpus.
