I am a perpetual advocate for following intuitive guidance. I consistently talk to my coaching clients about this concept. Your inner guidance is your best friend and your direct connection to the Divine. This is why it is important to trust it above and beyond other sources of information.
That being said, intuition can be difficult to truly define and even more challenging to understand how it works. Fundamentally, intuition is divinely inspired messages transmitted from your Higher Self (Ori). Nonetheless, other spirits, such as ancestors, spirit guides, astral mates (Egbe Orun), etc., can also send you intuitive messages. Though your Higher Self is ultimately responsible for receiving and transmitting these messages to your no matter where they originate from.
Intuition is your sense of knowing without a need for an explanation. It’s that feeling you get when you just know something is not right. It’s getting definitive and accurate knowledge about something that you have no previous knowledge about. It’s seeing things before they happen. It’s getting repetitive or synchronous signs and messages. Intuition is a natural phenomenon that everyone can access. Though it may take more time, practice, and patience for some to come to a full awareness of how to receive and interact with intuitive messages.

Honor Your Intuition
Some people don’t always trust their intuition. And by not doing so, they make a grave mistake. When you fail to trust your intuition or gut instincts, you can get yourself in a lot of trouble. Even more, the less you follow your intuition, the less often you will be able to discern when Spirit is talking to you. That’s why it is important to honor your intuition.
The more you follow your intuitive guidance, the more intuitive messages you will receive. And they will become clearer over time. When you are led by your intuition, you are showing your spiritual team that you trust and honor them. And in doing so, they will continue to honor you with a deeper level of knowledge and wisdom that can make your life a lot easier.
It is also important to use logic and common sense when attempting to honor your intuition. I use the word “attempting” because sometimes you are not connecting with your intuition when you have certain feelings or forbodings. If you have feelings or are hearing voices that are telling you to do things that are harmful to yourself or others, this is not your intuition. That’s why it is just as important to use reasoning when you receive messages from the astral realm.
Developing Your Intuition
As I stated, everyone has intuition, and anyone can access this gift. For some, intuitive knowing comes to them very naturally. These are individuals who were born with psychic, empathic, or other spiritual abilities. Others may have to do more work to strengthen and connect with their intuitive abilities. Even some people who are naturally gifted in this area sometimes implement tools and techniques to enhance intuitive downloads.
There are many ways to effectively and safely develop your intuition. Some of the techniques that I often use and recommend to my clients include:
- Spending time in nature
- Meditating and visualizing
- Taking spiritual baths
- Gratitude and personal journaling
- Private or public vlogging
- Sitting in a quiet space
